OUR ISLAND FAVORITES

THE BEACHES
Downtown Edgartown offers two beautiful, public beaches right in the village: Lighthouse Beach and Fuller Street Beach. Katama South Beach is our go to public beach that is outside of downtown and accessible by bike or bus. (3 Miles one way ~15 min bike ride)

JAW'S BRIDGE
Bike to the famous Jaw's Bridge (2.5 Miles One Way). This is a beloved Martha’s Vineyard tradition located right on Beach Road between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Famous as a filming location for the 1975 classic Jaws, this iconic spot is best known today for its ultimate summer rite of passage: jumping off the bridge into the refreshing waters below!

SEAFOOD SHANTY
A classic, casual waterfront restaurant and bar perched right on the harbor on Dock Street in Edgartown. It is best known for its massive second-floor outdoor deck that offers some of the absolute best, unobstructed views of Edgartown Harbor.

NOMANS
Nomans is one of our favorite spots on MV to grab lunch or dinner! It features a massive, open outdoor lawn filled with picnic tables, lawn games, and a super relaxed counter-service setup. This is not downtown Edgartown but accessible by Uber/taxi, or biking! Would be a perfect spot to bike to for lunch after jumping off Jaw's Bridge.

BAD MARTHA'S
On upper Main St, check out the brewery and tap room. Great pizza and time it right to enjoy some live music!

THE ATLANTIC FISH & CHOP HOUSE
A lively, upscale harbor-front venue famous for its premium steaks, raw bar, and vibrant summer nightlife. Ideal for an outdoor dinner or a late-night drink and a potential sighting of the Obamas! Reservation Recommended

MAD MARTHA'S ICE CREAM
A beloved Martha's Vineyard institution that has been serving rich, creamy, homemade treats to locals and visitors since 1971.

DOCK STREET COFFEE
A no-frills local diner known for its classic counter seating and incredible breakfast sandwiches (try the "Bacon Mac"!). Grab a bite to go and sit by the water to watch the boats. Open daily, 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Cash is highly recommended!

Raw 19 OYSTER BAR
Our favorite dinner spot on the island! It is widely celebrated for having the largest and most diverse selection of fresh local oysters on Martha's Vineyard. 19 Raw is a must-visit for seafood and steak lovers alike.

THE PELICAN CLUB
The perfect spot to grab a pre-dinner cocktail or grab some sushi at the bar. Tucked away behind the Faraway, this chic, open-air lounge is a hidden tropical-nautical oasis in the heart of town.

MAIN STREET SHOPS
Hit the shops Slate & Salte, owned by the fabulous Lizzy Hynes. Located just steps from each other in downtown Edgartown, these sister boutiques are island favorites. Slate is a highly curated fashion and lifestyle boutique, while Salte features a beautiful ocean-themed aesthetic with a unique mix of handcrafted homeware, global travel finds, and gifts.

THE WHARF PUB
For those of you who would like to continue the party on friday night, the wharf pub offers live entertainment during the summer.

MORNING GLORY FARM
The cutest market on the island! A farmstead in Edgartown famous for its incredible farmstand, scratch bakery, and prepared foods kitchen. Pop by to grab fresh-cut flowers, locally sourced groceries, or a quick bite from their seasonal MoGlo Food Truck.
Getting There: A 10-minute bike ride or a half-hour walk one way from downtown Edgartown. The local bus also drops off right by the market!

GETTING AROUND
To make packing easier, our featured hotels have you covered for island exploring and beach days!
BEACH GEAR
All four hotels provide complimentary beach chairs and beach towels for their guests. Vineyard Square also includes umbrellas, and The Edgartown Collection provides tote bags for your gear.
