GETTING TO
THE VINEYARD

Before you decide on how to get to Martha's Vineyard, consider how long you plan to stay and what you want to do while you are on island. If you plan to come for the weekend only, all events are in downtown Edgartown and we do not recommend bringing your car over or renting one.

FERRY OVER

Each ferry location will have daily parking options at different rates to leave your car on the mainland. Please see the links below to decide which Ferry is best for you to take. Please account time for parking once you arrive to the ferry location to ensure you're on time for your ferry. Once on the island, Uber/taxis are available to bring you to where you are staying. Driving to Woods Hole, MA takes about 4 1/2 hours from NYC and 1 1/2 hours from Boston depending on traffic.

STEAMSHIP AUTHORITY

Ride the ferry from Woods Hole, MA (1 Cowdry Rd, Woods Hole, MA 02543) into Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven. All ferries leave from the same port in Woods Hole, but boats go to both ports on the island. You can take any boat, just pay attention to what town you are arriving in (Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven) to figure out your taxi/Uber. This ferry is the most frequent to the island.

FLY TO THE ISLAND

There is one airport on the island which is called  Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY).  Airlines that fly to MVY are American Airlines, CapeAir, Delta and JetBlue. Cities that fly direct during the summer are Boston, MA (BOS), Charlotte, NC (CLT), Chicago, IL (ORD), New York, NY (JFK & LGA), Philadelphia, PA (PHL), Washington, D.C. (DCA), White Plains / Westchester, NY (HPN).

You can also fly into Logan Airport (LOG) in Boston and take the Peter Pan bus to Woods Hole, MA. Then take the Steamship Authority ferry over.

HOTEL PARKING

Harbor View Hotel

The hotel provides free, guaranteed on-site parking right on the property for all registered guests, ensuring they will always have a spot waiting for them.

Faraway Martha's Vineyard

While parking here is free and located directly on-site, it is strictly first-come, first-served. The hotel has roughly half the number of parking spaces as it does rooms, meaning spots fill up quickly and are never guaranteed.

The Edgartown Collection

Parking here varies wildly and is highly restricted depending on the specific house. Some locations (like The Christopher) offer no parking at all, while others charge a premium fee of up to $50 per day for a tiny handful of spaces.
